The "Big Three" auto-makers (Daimler Chrysler, Ford,
General Motors) developed QS-9000 to develop a fundamental quality
system that provides continuous improvement, defect prevention
and reduced supplier variation in the automotive industry. The
QS-9000 standard is a harmonization of the ISO 9001:1994 with
Chrysler's Supplier Quality Assurance Manual, Ford Q101 and General
Motors' Targets for Excellence.
TÜV Rheinland became one of the first companies qualified
to perform QS-9000 registration services in China. With the clear
understanding for Chinese automotive industries and by providing
the qualified third-party assessments, we will help automakers
save time and resources by eliminating redundant audits.
